Youth and adults working together, the Annapolis Society for Youth-friendly Public Spaces (ASYPS), formerly Annapolis Area Boards, Bikes & Blades Association (AABBBA), envisions the creation of an inclusive park in the Annapolis Royal Area that is welcoming to people of all ages and diverse interests. This park will have excellent skateboarding facilities, green space, shade trees, walking trail, and benches for spectators. Bringing about this concrete vision will also result in changes in perceptions of skateboarders from "punk vandals" to contributing members of the community.
ASYPS is an incorporated not-for-profit society with the Nova Scotia Registry of Joint Stock Companies.

Interested youth and parents from the community got together to form a committee to get things going. We've only just begun and our first priority is to build support in the community for "a new park for everyone."
Now that the location for the new park is finalized, we'll be meeting at least once a month to plan and do fundraising activities. If you know how to raise money in the community, we need your help!
